Quick general tips:
Sundays are typically closed for most shops except most cafés and restaurants.
Escalators: stick to the right to ensure busier people have access to pass by.
Always look out for cyclists and that you are not walking on or blocking bicycle paths.
Loop an arm or leg with your bag at all times.
Trains
Travel within Europe’s extensive train network which conveniently connect all airports, capitals, and Salzburg itself.
Save by booking ahead, but it will be possible to purchase up to departure times at a premium.
Booking individual seats are recommended especially during peak travel season.
Bathrooms are available
Food stalls or restaurants are common at all main stations
Seat reservations are usually marked on a small screen, if blank, seat is available.
You can also tell from which destinations the seat is reserved so it is possible the seat is free for your segment.
